Call, text, or send the form. You’ll hear back from me — not a dispatcher.
Most of the day I’m on a job site, so if I don’t pick up, leave a message or send a text and I’ll call you back. If you already know what’s wrong, say so. If you don’t, that’s most calls — tell me what you’re seeing and I’ll come look.
What happens after you reach out
Three steps, and none of them cost you anything
-
I call you back
To ask a couple of questions and set a time. If it’s clearly not something I do, you’ll hear that now instead of after a visit.
-
I come look
On site, in person, no charge. I get under it and behind it, because that’s where the answer usually is.
-
You get it in writing
A straight answer — repair, replace, or leave it alone — and a written estimate before anything starts. Nothing is owed if you decide not to go ahead.
To get a real answer faster
Three things worth telling me
- What you’re seeing“A board is soft near the house,” “the gate stopped closing,” “there’s a stain under the window.” Your words are fine. You don’t need to know what it’s called.
- Which townSo I know it’s in range and how to fit it into the week.
- A photo, if you canText it to (970) 315-7766. One picture of the problem and one from a few steps back tells me more than a paragraph.
What I do
Six services, all in wood
Deck repair, deck building, window replacement, fence installation and repair, wood siding, and trim carpentry.
What I don’t do: cabinets and doors, and in fence and siding I work in wood — not vinyl, chain link or ornamental iron. I’d rather tell you that on the phone than after a visit.
Where I work
Based in Silt, serving five counties
Most of my work has been in Edwards, Avon and Eagle. I run the I-70 corridor from Rifle and Glenwood Springs up through Vail, down the Roaring Fork Valley to Carbondale, Basalt, Snowmass and Aspen, and over to Summit County and Steamboat Springs.
Edwards, Avon, Beaver Creek, Vail, Eagle, Gypsum, Minturn, Wolcott
Glenwood Springs, New Castle, Silt, Rifle, Carbondale, Parachute
Aspen, Snowmass Village, Basalt, Woody Creek
Breckenridge, Frisco, Silverthorne, Steamboat Springs
Not sure if you’re in range? Call and ask. I’d rather tell you no on the phone than waste your time.
Before you call
Quick answers
Do you charge to come look?
No. I come out, look at it in person, and tell you what it needs. If it turns out it doesn’t need anything yet, I’ll tell you that too, and there’s no charge for the visit.
How soon can you come out?
Call or text and I’ll tell you honestly when I can get there. I’d rather give you a real date than a fast one I can’t keep.
I’m not sure what I need. Should I still call?
Yes — that’s most calls. Tell me what you’re seeing in your own words, and if you can, text a photo. I’ll tell you what it is, or come look if I can’t tell from the picture.
Do you give prices over the phone?
Not a real one, because the number depends on what’s under the surface — how far the rot went, what’s in the ground, how square the room is. A number over the phone is a guess, and a guess that’s low turns into a surprise. The visit is free, so there’s no cost to getting the real one.
